INGREDIENTS:
- 12 phyllo dough sheets
- ½ cup unsalted melted butter
- 1kg anari
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 3 level tablespoons flour
- 2 cups honey
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 5 eggs
- 1 cup largely chopped walnuts
- ½ teaspoon orange zest
- 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
METHOD:
Place the phyllo dough sheets, greased with butter (one bed of wrinkled sheets), in a Pyrex pan and half-bake them in the oven at 180 ºC for 10 minutes. Then, mash the anari cheese in the mixer, until it obtains a cream-like texture. Add the sugar, orange zest, flour, honey, eggs (beaten) and cinnamon and mix well. Remove overbaked crunchy sheets from its top and add some walnuts. Add the mixture in a Pyrex pan and bake at 180ºC for 20-25 minutes. Once ready, sprinkle some powdered sugar, honey and cinnamon.
