Rolled feta cheese with honey

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 package phyllo dough
  • 10 squares feta cheese
  • 1 cup honey
  • Oil
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons ground sesame seeds

METHOD:

Cut the phyllo doughs in two. Add one phyllo on top of the other. In the centre of the dough, place the feta cheese. Fold the phyllo dough like an envelope and leave aside. In a saucepan, add the honey, vinegar and two tablespoons of water, boil and stir well. Heat the oil and fry the feta envelopes until golden brown. Remove from oil using a slotted spoon and place on oil-absorbing paper. Pour one or two tablespoons of honey sauce, sprinkle with sesame and serve.

Who we are

Our story is set in the unchanged natural landscape of the region of Ayii Anargyri in Miliou village in Paphos district, the place of origin of Petros Dionysiou: a man who carries a long-established tradition in beekeeping, since 1975 to this date.
